The Bohol Renewable Energy Board (BREB) convened its 4th Quarter Meeting on November 24, 2025, at the Pres. CPG Hall of the Provincial Capitol Building. The session was presided over by Ms. Jovencia Ganub, Head of the Bohol Provincial Environment and Management Office, who also serves as the BREB Secretariat.

The board also welcomed Hon. Dionisio Joseph V. Balite, 3rd District Board Member and Chairman of the Committee on Climate Change, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Science and Technology, who expressed support for the province’s ongoing renewable energy efforts.

During the meeting, key updates and policy discussions took center stage. Ms. Catherine G. Vidar presented the draft Renewable Energy (RE) Investment Framework, highlighting strategic pathways to attract and guide energy investments in the province. The Provincial Legal Office provided inputs on the draft Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Provincial Ordinance No. 2023-018, also known as the Clean and Renewable Energy Code of Bohol.

In addition, Engr. Jerrey David Aguilar shared developments on the ASPIRE Project, detailing ongoing efforts to accelerate locally driven renewable energy solutions.

The meeting underscored the strong collaboration among BREB members as they work toward shared goals for 2026. With continued partnership and commitment, Bohol aims to further advance an affordable, clean, and reliable energy future for all Boholanos.
