PROJECT: ASPIRE-Advancing Sustainable Provincial Investments for Renewable Energy

The 1st Meeting of the Bohol Renewable Energy Board (BREB) was held last Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Panda Tea Garden & Suites, Dao, Tagbilaran City, Bohol. The meeting’s agenda included a discussion on the salient features of Provincial Ordinance No. 2023-018, also known as the Clean and Renewable Energy Code of Bohol, a presentation of the plans and programs for 2025, and other relevant matters

Bohol Association of Non-Government Organizations, Inc. (BANGON) attended the meeting representing Bohol People’s Council (BPC). Additionally, Engr. Jerrey Aguilar of BANGON presented the Advancing Sustainable Provincial Investments for Renewable Energy (ASPIRE) project to the BREB. This gathering aimed to advance the province’s renewable energy initiatives and ensure a greener, energy self-sufficient future for Bohol.

“Provincial Ordinance No. 2023-018 or the Clean & Renewable Energy Code of Bohol was enacted in 2023, Section 7 of the ordinance provides for the composition of the Bohol Renewable Energy Board as the primary advisory body to the Provincial Government, serving as the primary channel for acquiring diverse sector perspective, guidance, suggestions, and technical support concerning the promotion and acceleration of Renewable Energy development programs for a greener and energy self-sufficient province.”
